Logos Golf Ministries Scotland
at Falkirk Tryst Outreach 2025
We’ve been blessed with the weather recently, and our Logos Golf Ministries Outreach Event at Falkirk Tryst in partnership with Grace Church was no different.
With a record attendance of 54 in total, it was great to see the lounge almost filled, and the fact that we had a major sponsor in the shape of AIIR Environmental was amazing.
The support they have provided will allow us more presence going forward, and this might just extend through the winter for the first time.
As usual, I started everyone off on the 1st tee and got to chat a bit to everyone, explaining how I’m going to be freed up a little going forward to do more LGMS work. This has been a long time coming and something we have prayed about for years, so it’s a real blessing for the prayers to be answered.
As I moved out to the course to see how everyone was getting on, I encountered a friend who was not only struggling with Golf but was upset about the health of one of his family members. I took the time to sit with him and pray as I could see how much pain he was in. After a very simple prayer, we accepted that God is always with us and can do anything, so we trust in him. It’s incredible how a few words can bring about the Lord’s peace, and we could feel his presence. An important moment.

After helping a few guys with their game and encouraging others to simply ‘enjoy’ golf, we gathered for a meal in the clubhouse, and it was pleasing to see a full room. After the prize-giving, I was interviewed by one of my fellow Trustees, and it was a different experience from simply giving a speech. I tried to convey that it’s in my heart to share the truth, plain and simple. We can all argue about belief systems, but the evidence points to a clear winner, and it’s not even a close contest. Why would we not want to know our true creator and Lord?
It was nice for my fellow trustee to finish off by consolidating what I was saying, and also for Grace Church’s minister to close with a prayer and confirmation of our faith. We pray for more days like this, not just at Falkirk, but across Scotland in the years ahead. We go forward slowly but surely, knowing Jesus has already made the way, and we simply follow his example. We continually thank him for what he did and is doing.
We Trust,
Vincent Brown, PGA Professional, LGMS Ambassador to the Tartan Tour.
